Admission Procedure

Eligibility

Students who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) under Academic Stream / Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of Central Board (CBSE) or other equivalent examination as recognized by the Periyar University are eligible to join Under Graduate Courses. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). From the academic year 2008-2009 Periyar University Examinations are being conducted on the basis of CBCS pattern.

Certificates to be Produced at the Time of Admission

12th standard mark statements. (Original and Photo copies)
Transfer Certificate. (Original and Photo copy)
Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied (Original)
Community Certificate (Original) if the selection is based on Community Quota (not applicable for Open Competition selection)
2 passport size photos
Prescribed fees
Eligibility certificate from the Periyar University for the Candidates who passed qualifying examination other than +2 examinations of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary / CBSE.
Degree Marks Statements (Semester wise original only in case of PG admission)
Provisional certificate from the university concerned in case of PG admission

Those who do not bring any one of the documents listed above will not be admitted.
Candidate must come along with their parent at the time of admission.

Salem Sowdeswari College (SSC) was founded in 1975 by Dr. J.K.K. Angappa Chettiar and Amarar Thiru. T.N.K. Govindaraju Chettiar, under the management of Sri Sowdeswari Mahajana Charitable Trust.
