A huge Library with thousands of books under various titles are available for the students to make use of. Well designed and comfortable tables are provided also for both students and staff. They can collect the required study material and it is issued to the members of the library for a stipulated period. The college library remains open on all working days.

Shri Sowdesvari Women’s College Library is the soul of the institution and it acquires, processes, preserves and disseminates information to the user community with the motto of empowering knowledge. Salem Sowdeswari College (SSC) was founded in 1975 by Dr. J.K.K. Angappa Chettiar and Amarar Thiru. T.N.K. Govindaraju Chettiar, under the management of Sri Sowdeswari Mahajana Charitable Trust.
