Admission Process Guidelines

ADMISSION 2022-2023

SSWC pursues a holistic admission policy for all the programmes offered by the institution. A holistic admission policy seeks to understand the whole applicant beyond marks and solicit whether an applicant will be a good fit in a programme and whether they will thrive. This is in keeping with the best practices of International Universities and allows us to select the best applicant for our programmes.

ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCESS

Admission will be carried out through online application portal
Admission process will start as per the guidelines of Government of Tamil Nadu.
All the candidates seeking admission to the Undergraduate (UG)/ Postgraduate (PG) are required to register online or can visit to the College and receive the printed application.
Admission is made purely on the basis of merit, subject to the rules of reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Periyar University.
As per the present policy, a candidate seeking admission in Undergraduate (UG) programmes must have passed 12th examination of 10+2 pattern from a recognised board and seeking admission in Postgraduate (PG) programmes must have passed UG programme from a recognised Institution/University.
The applicants will be eligible to take admission in all the programmes provided they satisfy the cut-off and the eligibility for the selected programme.
If applicants have examination results pending or have reappeared in papers, they will be able to update these marks by logging into their Dashboards. The college may be contacted for further details of admissions.
Applicants will be responsible for the quality and authenticity of all the information they enter, including upload of copies of certificates.
Admissions will be considered to be complete only when the full fee for the academic year is paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the applicant appears on the relevant rolls.
Students who have got applications are requested to fill their marks and submit the applications through online mode after thoroughly checking the necessary details are filled.
If any applicant is unable to submit the application in online they can submit the hard copy of the filled in application in the drop box available in the college

ADMISSION SELECTION PROCESS

It is extremely important that applicants pay the fee within the timeframe allocated, failing which it will be concluded that the applicant is not interested in the course of study at that college, and the admission will be automatically cancelled.
The applicant is advised to save the acknowledgement slip bearing transaction ID, Credit Card/ Debit card/Netbanking details and date of transaction as a proof for future reference. On successful payment of fees, the applicant is granted provisional admission to the said college.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

The following certificates in original have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.

Front facing passport size recent photograph with plain background
Printout of the application (College Copy)
Community Certificate
Age Proof (SSLC Marksheet)
Original mark statement issued by the examination authority
Transfer Certificate received from the institution last studied
Conduct Certificate
Equivalency / Recognition Certificate (if applicable)
Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if you are applying under any reserved / quota / special category
Any other documents (Nativity Certificate / Income / Community / Non-creamy layer Certificate) as directed by the admitting authorities
One set of attested photocopies of the above certificates
Copy of Aadhar card.

The certificates will be verified within the stipulated time period. If at this stage it is found that the information given by the applicant is false and/ or is not supported by the documents presented, the admission will be immediately cancelled.

BSC Statistics	HSC passed with Statistics/ Mathematics/Business Mathematics as one of the subjects
BCOM	HSC passed (Academic or Vocational)
BCOM CS (Corporate Secretaryship)	HSC passed with any one of the subjects namely Commerce/ Accountancy.

BSC Textile and Fashion Designing	HSC passed. Pass in any three year Diploma in Fashion/Costume/Textile/Apparel related course is eligible to admit in direct second year of this UG course.
BSC Costume Design and Fashion	HSC passed. Pass in any three year Diploma in Fashion/Costume/Textile/Apparel related course is eligible to admit in direct second year of this UG course.
BSC Computer Science	HSC passed with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics or Computer Applications (Academic stream or Vocational stream).
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)	HSC passed. Preference should be given for commerce and accountancy streams.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application)	HSC passed with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics or Computer Applications (Academic stream or Vocational stream).
BCOM	HSC passed (Academic or Vocational)
BCOM CA (Computer Application)	HSC passed with Accountancy / Commerce / Mathematics / Business Mathematics/Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology.
