IFW ERP

The College uses a cloud based erp system which is available 24/7. All student related data such as student personal information, fees, attendance and marks are maintained in the erp system. The erp system has helped improve our service levels beyond traditional colleges. Online fee payment, receiving WhatsApp based messages, online calendar and news boards, photo and video galleries are a few of the features which help students stay up-to-date with campus life. Class Room

Attractive infrastructure of the college includes spacious and airy classrooms which are maintained neat and clean. Modern furniture is provided for the students to enjoy a comfortable learning.

Computer Lab

An enhanced computer lab with 100+ computers are made available for the students to enrich their knowledge in computers. Its a free wifi campus too.

Physics and Chemistry Lab

Well-equipped lab with required facilities are provided for the students to work on their projects.

Textile and Fashion Technology

Textile and Fashion Technology department of our college, is an additional feature especially for the girls who learn sewing, stitching, embroidery, etc. which paves way for their self earning.

Canteen

A hygienic canteen with varieties of delicious food forms another added feature of our college.

Library

A huge Library with thousands of books under various titles are available for the students to make use of. Well designed and comfortable tables are provided also for both students and staff. They can collect the required study material and it is issued to the members of the library for a stipulated period. The college library remains open on all working days.

Online Exam

Online exams are conducted for all the students on regular schedule which helps them in time management and enhance their computer skill sets. The Answer status report helps the students to assess their performance on the spot.

Study Material

The staff members of all the departments prepare notes on the basis of the suggested syllabus and it is provided to the students in the form of study material, which incorporates the exam portion of syllabi in a nutshell.

Auditorium

We have an auditorium which provides space for conducting seminars, competitions, functions and the like.

Office

Well planned and structured office with all essential, technological inputs, our college office forms the heart of the institution. Very efficient and able office bearers help the activities of the college to go on smoothly and successfully. Its a computerized setup which helps to fetch the data of any student in a single click is an added advantage.

Celebrations

Our college is known for learning combined with entertainment which paves the way for celebrations. As the saying goes ‘Celebrate Learning’ various celebrations include Annual Day, Sports Day, Pongal celebration, National festivals and Women’s Day, etc.

Salem Sowdeswari College (SSC) was founded in 1975 by Dr. J.K.K. Angappa Chettiar and Amarar Thiru. T.N.K. Govindaraju Chettiar, under the management of Sri Sowdeswari Mahajana Charitable Trust.
